So, I was reminded that I've abandoned my 365 project. In reality, I haven't stopped shooting my kids, I've just not had much time to edit and post personal pictures on here lately.  But that's about to change cuz...the twins are in preschool!!!  On Monday, they went to "camp" for the first time and it's been fantastic!  They love it, I love it, I'll love it more when...

 Luci starts camp next Monday. She'll be in tennis camp the same days but longer...Whoo-hoo!

It's been a little tough at drop off. There were a few tears, but they got through it together.

Bribery.  As a photographer with 4 kids I've learned the fine art of bribery.  Unfortunately, the more photos I take of them, the smarter they get, upping the anty...M&Ms only go so far these days.

Melting. With 99 degree heat, we've been melting. The only reprieve has been ice cream, Grandma's pool and sprinklers... If this is Spring, I can only imagine what Summer will be like.

Cheer. I've realized that this is Luci's destiny...she's a natural born dancer and performer.  Penny...not so much.

Lucky. We might not have a pool in our backyard, but everyday when we run in the sprinklers we see a rainbow...bet pool kids aren't so lucky.

Neighbors. Since we planted our garden, we've had a frequent visitor in our backyard.  Seriously, this same butterfly visits us on a daily basis.  Luci's named it Buttercup, Penny calls it Cuppy, and Tripp is just plotting it's demise...trying to catch it with a baseball bat. I recommend that Cuppy stay on the high branch for awhile.

Frenemies.  These two crack me up. A total love hate relationship.  Penny wants to love him like a little baby so bad, but considering he weighs as much as she does, he can take her down in one fell swoop.  Their loving hugs turn into wrestling matches in seconds...My babies...

Three. Last week the twins turned 3. As usual, Tripp weighs 5lbs more and is 3inches taller than his baby sis.  They got sleeping bags and blew out candles.  It was epic!

Haircut.  I've never been one of those moms who shyed away from cutting my kids hair. Maybe it's because I love a fresh haircut, I love how excited my kids get when they know there will be a change, and also because my kids have hair that grows super fast. So if they ever get a bad haircut, I know it'll be back to normal in couple months if not weeks.  I love Luci's latest transformation...

Warm. It's been unusually warm this April.  We've spent a lot of time outside, exploring nature and it's beautiful gifts.

Tan.  Growing up in S. California, I was a sun worshiper...sunscreen was laughable as I reached over for the pure coconut oil or baby oil...horrible.  I look at this picture, and even though I know that she's slathered in SPF 85, I see the tint of bronze and am mortified.  Maybe it's inevitable, living in the valley. Ohio's looking better and better.

Bakers. When all else fails, we make cookies.  It might not be the best for the waistline, but it is best for the peace and happiness that it creates in my home. There is one rule to cookie making; you can not lick the spoon with the raw egg mixture.  As you can see, Penny has found a way around this...

Beauty. As I type this post, I can't help but think of the tragedy that struck Boston today.  I pray to God and thank him for the beauty that he's given me and my family.  I thank him everyday for the beautiful gifts that I wake up to and put to sleep every night...

 Garden. Every year since we've owned this home, I've tended a garden in our backyard.  What started out as a way to stay busy and in the sun, has turned into a full on family activity.  Luci loves picking out the vegies and showing the twins' how to plant.  But they all love the annual LadyBug release.  Why wouldn't they?  A million friendly Ladybugs swarming around our backyard and landing all over everybody...I can almost feel them crawling up my arm as I type...

Yummy. I got a new lens the other day and it sure is yummy.  Also, it's been super hot outside, so this watermelon probably tastes yummy too.

Cousins. This past Easter, we spent the holiday with our cousins from NJ.  We were a little disappointed they were nothing like Jersey Shore... :)  We hiked, ate, played, and hunted.  Best Easter ever!

Long Days.  This is a love letter to my friend Katy.  I've known her since Lu was months old and she's never let me down.  She's always up for any adventure and puts up with my circus of a family.  Seriously one of my best friends and probably the nicest person I know...Thanks for keeping me company on many a long day...

Party.  While daddy's away, the mice will play.  We're having our own version of Vegas at home!!!

Addicted.  All my kids love TV. We try to limit the amount of TV they watch, but they sneak it in whenever they can.  This was captured during dress-up play.  I think she's watching the news or something else non-kid, but it didn't matter...she'll take anything she can get when it comes to TV.  I also liked the accidental reference to Mike TV from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

 Pretend. The twins spend a lot of time entertaining themselves playing pretend.  Some days it's family, other days it's school.  Recently, Tripp got his first cap gun (minus the amunition) and they've been playing a lot of "shoot games". I'm not sure that he know's what shoot games are, but he LOVES them...

Afternoon walk.  We love going on walks...As rediculous as it may look, we load the babies in the double and Tripp and Lu ride their scooters.  Our walks are part exercise, part exploring, and part togetherness.  I love when we take late afternoon walks when the sun is low and the light is just begging me to take pictures.  This is from yesterday's afternoon walk.  It was beautiful...
